There's No Place Like Home...

I don't know what it is, but even after 4 years of college I still get sad leaving home. I had such an amazing winter break spending time with family and friends that it is just so hard to leave. Since being away in Manhattan, I have definitely grown to appreciate Kansas City and all that it has to offer.

My family went to go visit more family in Illinois, which is always fun! We all had a good time bonding and it was nice to bring Jake along for the second time. It was a lot of bonding time and just having good old fashioned fun with the family.

I also got to see some of my best friends over the break. We had our usual breakfast and then we went out for New Years. It amazes me that even after four years of being apart we are still able to get together and pick up right where we left off. All of us have unique personalities and that's what I love about the Breakfast Club. We are all so different but we are all really good friends.

I guess I always feel welcome and myself back at home. No worries with work, no worries with school, no worries with drama...home is what it is. I am glad that this is my last semester in Manhattan. I am ready to move on...I think it's about time
